Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, also called Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed as the label's debut female singer on Dreamville Records by J. Cole. The first album she released on the label on October 21 2016 titled Pho where she began gaining fame. The album that she released as her debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox first posted music online in 2012. Her debut album Ariography and her mixtape debut in 2013 with Five Finger Discount. In 2014, Ari Lennox continued posting her music on the internet, including her self-released single Bound. In the year 2015, she performed on Omen's Elephant Eyes Album, which came out on the 21st July. released on the 21st of July. J. Cole asked her to join him in collaboration for Rihanna's remark. Later in the season, the music was circulating throughout Dreamville. Her announcement to be signed by Dreamville Records was made on the 8th day of December. Backseat was a track she recorded alongside Cozz for The Revenge of the Dreamers II collaborative album. On October 21, 2016 her Pho EP was released. Ari Lennox was a guest on J. Cole's Change and also performed in the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour as an opening act. in 2018, the singer-songwriter guested on two tracks with EarthGang, on Nothing but the Best, as well as Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox's debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on 16 July 2018. The album's first single, Whipped Cream, from the album was released on September 5, 2018 with the music video. Then, on the 9th of November 2018 she dropped two additional singles, titled 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). Then on the 13th of November, two brand new singles, titled No One and pedigree. She was featured with Cole in The Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby On November 16th, and released the song as a solo single for her debut album. In February 2019, the video music for this song was released. It has had over 3 million YouTube views in just one week. In December 2018 she was an opening act for the From East Atlanta With Love Tour with 6LACK.
